This guide gives you the run down on what Client View is, what it gives your client access to view in MinuteDock, and how you can enable or disable it.
What is Client View
Client View creates a secure URL that lets your clients view the time you've logged for their work without needing to create an account or log in to MinuteDock.
Clients can:
View time entries logged to their Contact
Filter by week or month to see recent activity
See time descriptions and hours worked
Track progress on their projects in real-time
Enable Client View
Navigate to the Contacts screen
Find and click on the Contact you want to enable Client View for
Click the "Client View" button at the bottom left of the Contact details
Click "Enable Client View" at the top of the panel that opens
Copy the URL that appears in the box below
Share the URL securely with your client
ℹ️ Note: Clients will only see time entries, descriptions, and hours - they won't see billing rates, costs, or other sensitive account information.
Managing Client View
To disable or change Client View settings, return to the Contact's "Client View" button and adjust settings as needed.
The Client View updates automatically as you log new time entries, so clients always see current information.
