Reports display your Time Entries based on filters you select. You can filter by time period, User, Contact, Project, or Task, and view the results as charts or a detailed list of entries.
Reports include logged Time Entries only—time currently in the Dock won't appear until it's logged.
Accessing Reports
To view Reports, click the Reports tab in the main navigation. The Reports screen has a similar layout to Invoicing, so navigation between the two works the same way.
What you see on the Reports screen depends on your permissions. For example, Users without "Report on others' time" permission will only see themselves in the Users filter. Users without access to billing rates won't see dollar amounts or charge rate information.
Choosing what to include
Reports are built from two types of filters: time periods and categories.
Time periods
Select the date range for your Report using the time period options at the top of the screen. You can choose from: Today, Yesterday, This Week, Last Week, This Month, Last Month, All Time, or Specific Time (to set your own custom date range).
Category filters
Narrow your Report by selecting specific Users, Contacts, Projects, or Tasks. Leave any filter set to "Any" to include all entries for that category.
In the Users filter, team members are grouped by their Role. You can select individual Users or select a Role to include all Users with that Role.
You can combine multiple filters. For example, filter by a specific Contact and a single User to see time one team member logged against a particular client.
Options filter
The Options filters provides additional filters for which Time Entries appear in your Report:
Billable / Unbillable: Show only billable time, only unbillable time, or both
Invoiced / Uninvoiced: Filter by whether time has already been invoiced or not
For example, selecting Billable and Uninvoiced shows billable time that hasn't been invoiced yet (a Work in Progress report).
Reading your Report
Once you've selected your filters, MinuteDock displays your time data in several ways.
Summary metrics
At the top of the Report, you'll see totals for the current filters:
Total hours: All time matching your filters
Billable hours: Time marked as billable
Unbillable hours: Time marked as unbillable
Estimated billable total: The dollar value of billable time based on hourly rates
Hover over any of these totals to see a comparison with the same period from the previous time frame.
Charts view
The default view shows your time broken down into charts. Depending on your filters, you may see charts for: User, Contact, Project, Task, Day, Month, Year, and Charge Rate.
Time-based charts (Day, Month, Year) appear based on the date range you've selected. For example, a Report covering one month won't show a "time by Year" chart.
Each chart displays:
Time in hours and minutes
Percentage of overall time for that category
Time Entries view
Click Time Entries above the charts to see a list of every individual entry included in your Report. From this view, you can:
Review entry descriptions and details
Edit entries to correct or update information
Exporting Reports
You can export your Report data as a CSV file to open in Excel, Google Sheets, or other spreadsheet applications.
Export options:
Export button (top of page): Downloads all Time Entries in your current Report
CSV button (on individual charts): Downloads just that chart's data
What's included in exports
Exported Reports include more detail than what's shown on the Reports screen. Along with the basic entry information (Contact, Project, Task, date, User, duration, and description), exports also include:
Per-entry billing details: The hourly rate, billable amount, and currency for each individual Time Entry
Invoice information: Invoice reference number, invoiced amount, invoiced date, and Invoice ID for entries that have been invoiced
Integration settings: Any integration-specific data configured for your Contacts, Projects, or Tasks (such as tracking categories or account codes)
System data: The Time Entry ID and exact timestamp when the entry was logged
💡 Tip: Hourly rate data is only included in exports for Users who have permission to see and edit billing rates.

Saving/Pinning Reports
If you run the same Report regularly (like weekly team hours or monthly client summaries), you can pin it for quick access.
Set up your Report with the filters you need
Click the green pin icon
Name your Report and click Pin Report
To run a pinned Report, click Run a pinned report and select from your saved options.

You can also run Reports directly from other screens without setting up filters manually.
From Goals and Budgets
Click on any Goal or Budget to run a Report showing time that counts toward that target. You can do this from the Goals screen, or from a Goal tracker on the Time screen. The Report shows the Time Entries contributing to that Goal or Budget.
From Contacts, Projects, and Tasks
On the Contacts, Projects, and Tasks screens, each item in the list has a Report button. Clicking it runs a Report filtered to that specific Contact, Project, or Task.
