You can manage your MYOB integration settings to customize invoicing behavior.
Configuring MYOB Integration Settings
Customize how MinuteDock creates invoices in MYOB by assigning a Default Ledger Account to Contacts and a default Invoice Layout.
Setting a Default Invoice Layout or Ledger Account
Apply a MYOB Invoice Layout to Invoices created in MinuteDock by following these steps:
Access integration settings: Click the MYOB link in the main navigation bar at the top of your MinuteDock screen.
Set default Invoice Layout/Ledger Account: Choose a default MYOB Invoice Layout from your available MYOB layouts, and/or set a default Ledger Account for your invoices.
Save Settings: Click the Save Settings button to apply your changes.
ℹ️ Note: The Invoice Layout default will apply to all invoices sent from MinuteDock to MYOB. The Ledger Account setting can be overridden by Contact/Project/Task specific settings.
Managing Contact, Project and Task Ledger Accounts
You can assign a MYOB Ledger Account to a Contact which will override the default in your MYOB integration settings.
Setting a Contact-Specific Ledger Account
Go to Contacts: Click on the Contacts tab in MinuteDock
Find your Contact: Use the search bar if you have many Contacts
Open Contact Settings: Hover over the Contact and click the edit button
Configure MYOB Settings: Scroll to the MYOB integration settings section at the bottom, and select the Ledger Account you want for this Contact
Save changes: Click Save to apply your settings
Setting Project and Task Ledger Accounts
Follow the same process for Projects and Tasks to create more specific Ledger Account assignments.
For Projects:
Go to Projects - Click the Projects tab in MinuteDock
Edit Project - Find and click edit on your chosen Project
Set MYOB Ledger Account - Choose the appropriate ledger account in the MYOB settings section
Save changes - Click save to apply
For Tasks:
Go to Tasks - Click the Tasks subtab under the main Projects tab
Edit Task - Find and click edit on your chosen Task
Set MYOB Ledger Account - Choose the appropriate ledger account in the MYOB settings section
Save changes - Click save to apply
✅ Success: Your Contact/Project/Task specific settings will now override the integration default setting
Ledger Account Priority Hierarchy
MinuteDock applies MYOB Ledger Accounts in this order of priority:
Task-specific setting (highest priority)
Project-specific setting
Contact-specific setting
Default integration setting (lowest priority)
⚠️ Important: Only one Ledger Account will apply to a given Time Entry, so keep the priorities above in mind.
How Tax Settings Work
MYOB Customers and Ledger Accounts can be set up with default tax rates - these settings will flow through into MinuteDock automatically when set up.
💡 Tip: MinuteDock will otherwise remember and reapply the tax setting you assign during invoicing on a Contact by Contact basis.
