Keyboard shortcuts cheatsheet

MinuteDock is a little bit different to other time tracking tools you've used before.

When tracking time, you can enter details in the Dock at the top of the screen. The Dock is smart and can apply certain actions based on the text you type or keys you press. See below for examples:

What to type

What it does

@ (SHIFT+2)
@myclientcode

Open the Contact picker. Start typing the Contact's Short Code to filter the results. Press ENTER, SPACEBAR or TAB — or click a result — to assign the Contact to the Time Entry you're tracking.

# (SHIFT+3)
#myprojectcode

Open the Project or Task picker. Start typing the Project or Task's Short Code to filter the results. Press ENTER, SPACEBAR or TAB — or click a result — to assign it to the Time Entry.

* (SHIFT+8)

Toggle the timer (start or pause the timer)

ENTER

Logs the Time Entry. If a Contact, Project or Task picker is open, ENTER assigns the highlighted result instead — press it again to log.

(17/08/2018)
(july 4)
(yesterday)
(friday)

Type into the time entry description/notes to set the date that will be used when logging the entry to the specific date. Will be applied when logging, pressing TAB, or clicking elsewhere on the page.

1hr
2hrs
1.5hrs
25min
1hr 15min

Type the amount of time in the description/notes and it adds time to your timer accordingly, either when logging the time entry, pressing TAB, or clicking elsewhere on the page
