Pin, Edit or Archive a Goal

How to remove/manage an already created goal/budget.

Updated over a month ago

This guide covers how to manage your existing Goals - pinning them for visibility, editing settings, and archiving completed Goals.

Access Goal Management Options

All Goal management options are available on the Goals screen. Navigate to Goals to view your active Goals and access pinning, editing, and archiving options.

Pin Goals to the Time Screen

Pin Goals to display them on the Time screen where you log time entries. This makes it easy to track your progress while working.

Pin Options

Pin for me: Click the pin icon next to any Goal to pin it for yourself only.

Pin for everyone: Hover over the pin icon and select "Pin for everyone" from the dropdown to make the Goal visible to all Users on your Account.

Pin for some users: Hover over the pin icon and select "Pin for some" from the dropdown to choose specific Users who should see the Goal.

Note: You can choose either "everyone" or "some users," but not both at the same time.

Where Pinned Goals Appear

Pinned Goals show at the top of the Time screen with progress bars, making it easy to see how you're tracking toward your targets or budgets while logging time.

šŸ’”Tip: Pin Goals that you're actively working toward so you can monitor progress without switching between screens while logging time.

Edit Goal Settings

To modify a Goal's settings, click the spanner icon next to the Goal on the Goals screen.

You can edit:

  • Goal type (Target or Budget)

  • Amount (hours or money)

  • Filters (Users, Contacts, Projects, Tasks)

  • Frequency (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.)

  • Time tracking options (billable, unbillable, or all time)

Click Save to apply your changes.

Archive Completed Goals

To archive a completed or outdated Goal, click the red X icon next to the Goal on the Goals screen.

Archived Goals:

  • Stop tracking new progress

  • Remain accessible for historical reference

  • Can be viewed by clicking the "Archived" tab on the Goals screen

ā„¹ļø Note: Archiving is permanent - archived Goals cannot be reactivated. Consider editing the Goal instead if you want to continue tracking with different settings.

Archiving is useful for completed projects, expired time periods, or Goals you no longer need to track actively.

You can repeat the process in the Archived Goals list to delete the Goal entirely.
