Integration Settings and Cancelling Your Connection

Managing Your Wave Integration

While connected to Wave, there are invoicing settings available in MinuteDock which you can use to make invoicing with Wave easier.

You can assign default Wave products & services to your Contacts/Projects/Tasks in MinuteDock to include automatically in invoicing.


Advanced Integration Settings

In your Wave connection settings, you can assign a default Wave product or service for invoicing - this default will apply to all line items when you create an invoice and send it to Wave, unless you have set a Contact/Project/Task specific product.

Your Wave product or service will dictate the default tax applied to an invoice item in MinuteDock (if a product/service default tax is set in Wave).


Set a Contact/Project/Task Specific Wave Invoice Service

Quick Summary

  1. Go to your Contacts or Projects tab in MinuteDock (Tasks is a subtab under Projects).

  2. Find the relevant Contact/Project/Task you wish to assign a service to.

  3. Click the 'Edit' icon for your chosen Contact/Project/Task.

  4. Assign a service under the Wave settings.

  5. Click 'Save'.

In Detail

To set a Contact specific service, you need to edit the settings of the relevant Contact in MinuteDock.

Click onto your Contacts tab in MinuteDock, and find the Contact you want to edit (use the search option if your Contacts list is long!).

Hover over the Contact and click the 'Edit' button which appears. This will open the Contact settings.

At the bottom of the Contact settings are the Wave integration settings for that Contact (only if you are connected to Wave).

You can set a Contact specific service from your available Wave products or services - this will apply as the default for invoice lines against this Contact, unless a Project or Task setting overrides it.

Projects and Tasks can be edited following the same steps as Contacts, but from the Projects tab or Tasks subtab.

Priority Order for Wave Products & Services

When you have a Time Entry containing Contact/Project/Task assignments with more than one Wave product or service set, MinuteDock will prioritize which product or service to apply to that Time Entry using the following hierarchy:

  1. Task settings (highest priority)

  2. Project settings

  3. Contact settings

  4. Default integration setting (lowest priority)


Cancel Your Integration Connection

You can cancel your Wave connection at any time from the integration settings page.

Click the 'Wave' button in the top navigation bar to go to the integration settings.

Then, click the 'Cancel Wave Connection' button to remove the link between your MinuteDock and Wave accounts.

MinuteDock will no longer automatically sync with Wave, and you won't be able to send invoices to Wave unless you reconnect.

You won't lose any data by disconnecting, and you can reconnect at any time.

Invoices already sent to Wave will remain in Wave and their status in MinuteDock won't change.
