Setting up the MYOB Integration

Follow these steps to establish the connection between MinuteDock and MYOB

Connecting to MYOB allows you to sync your time tracking data directly with your MYOB accounting software, making billing easier and reducing manual data entry. Once connected, your MYOB customers will automatically sync and appear as Contacts in MinuteDock, and you can push invoices directly to MYOB.

Requirements

Before you can connect to MYOB, you'll need:

  • The Manage MinuteDock Account & Users Permission in MinuteDock (account creators have this by default)

  • Admin access in your MYOB Business to authorise the connection

ℹ️ Note: If you don't have the above permission, contact your MinuteDock account owner.

Setting up the connection

Follow these steps to connect MinuteDock with your MYOB Business:

  1. Navigate to your Account settings: click Account in the navigation menu at the top right

  2. Access Integrations: Click Integrations from the Account screen

  3. Select MYOB: Find MYOB in the list of available integrations and click Connect

  4. Authorise in MYOB. You'll be redirected to MYOB where you'll need to:

    • Log in to your MYOB Business account if prompted

    • Review the permissions MinuteDock is requesting

    • Click Accept to authorise the connection

  5. Return to MinuteDock. MYOB will redirect you back to MinuteDock automatically once authorisation is complete

Success! Your MinuteDock and MYOB accounts are now connected. MinuteDock will immediately begin syncing your MYOB customers as Contacts.

Important: The initial sync may take a few minutes depending on how many customers you have in MYOB. You'll see your MYOB customers appear in your MinuteDock Contacts list once the sync is complete.

What happens next

After connecting to MYOB:

  • ✅ Your existing MYOB customers sync to MinuteDock as Contacts

  • ✅ You can track time for your MYOB customers in MinuteDock

  • ✅ New customers added to MYOB will sync automatically every 24 hours

  • ✅ You can create and send invoices directly from MinuteDock to MYOB

Now that you're connected, here's what to do next:

Troubleshooting MYOB sync

MinuteDock auto-syncs customers and their details from MYOB Business roughly every 24 hours. If a recent change in MYOB hasn't appeared in MinuteDock yet, the steps below cover the most common causes.

Force a manual sync

  1. Click the MYOB button in the top-right navigation bar of MinuteDock

  2. Click Sync With MYOB.

This pulls the latest customer list and details from MYOB immediately, instead of waiting for the next scheduled sync.

A new MYOB customer isn't appearing in MinuteDock

MYOB customers should sync automatically once added. If a new customer hasn't appeared after a manual sync, check:

  • The record was created as a Customer in MYOB (not a Supplier)

  • The customer isn't archived

  • Your MYOB integration is still connected (Account → Integrations)

A customer's details look out of date in MinuteDock

MYOB is the source of truth for customer details on MYOB-integrated accounts. Make customer detail changes in MYOB, then force a sync from the steps above if you need them in MinuteDock straight away.

The connection has stopped syncing entirely

Go to Account → Integrations and check the status of your MYOB connection. If it shows as expired or disconnected, re-authorise from there. You'll need Admin access in both MinuteDock and MYOB Business to reconnect. See Setting up the MYOB Integration for the connection steps.
